My Story
Reason for being in rescue: owner release
Special Needs: Ollie is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.
What kind of home would be best for me: Ollie is a happy boy looking for a heart and home to share. His requirements are simple - a bed to sleep in with his humans (this is non-negotiable) and a lap that is looking for a furry baby. Ollie will be happy with another dog in the home, or as your only pet. He would be fine with cats. He could live with children over 10, or be the constant companion of active retirees. He is, by every definition, a velcro dog. We are looking for a home where you are home during the day (active retirees, work from home, home school, etc.).
What is my personality like: In his short 6 years of life Ollie has had a lot of change. Purchased as a puppy, his first owners rehomed them as their health declined with age and they knew he needed more than they could offer. His most recent family loved him very much, but when a new baby arrived they decided Ollie would be happier without a young child in his life (there was never an issue). So here is Ollie, 6 years young and an incredible dog, in rescue looking for his forever home.
Quite simply, Ollie is an AWESOME dog. He is well behaved. He gets along with other dogs, large and small. He loves everyone he meets. He has a happy-go-lucky demeanor that endears him to everyone that he meets. He's always up for a walk or a car ride or wherever you may be heading. If you have a toy basket he'll enjoy picking his favorite. He is, by all accounts, an easy and loveable boy eager for a forever home.
How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly
Tips and Tidbits: Ollie is 6 years old. We celebrate his birthday as 11/20/2016.
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Potential Adopters
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
