My Story
Reason for being in rescue: owner release
Special Needs: Cinnamon is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.
What kind of home would be best for me: Cinnamon was retired from a breeding home. She has limited experience being a pet, but is eager to learn. Cinnamon requires a home with another large, confident dog that she can learn from. We are seeking a home with an experienced dog owner and someone who is home more than they're away. Cinnamon does best with women, and can be fearful of men (she can become accustomed to men but it will take lots of time and patience).
What is my personality like: Cinnamon is a 4 year old female Standard Poodle who is ready to find her people and be able to relax! Cinnamon enjoys being outdoors playing with her favorite canine buddies, only to come back inside and lay with her humans. She loves following her people around and helping out with whatever they’re doing. She loves exploring, adventuring and romping each and every day. She is low-moderate energy and does not require tons of exercise, but loves getting out of the house for some play time and socialization. When she is one on one with her people, she is very affectionate.
Cinnamon loves giving head nudges and chest snuggles and just simply wants to be loved. She is mostly crate trained and walks well on a leash. Additional training would benefit her in terms of gaining confidence. She is extremely loyal and just wants to experience life with her people right by her side.
How do I act when I first meet new people: Cinnamon can be slightly shy when meeting new people and may take a few days to warm up. When she is one on one with her people, she is very affectionate.
Tips and Tidbits: Cinnamon's birthday is 6/5/2019
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Potential Adopters
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
