My Story

Date into Rescue: 9/21/2023

Reason for being in rescue: born into rescue

Special Needs: Simone is up to date on vaccines for her age. Due to age, she is not spayed. She will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract which requires you to spay her at your expense within 12 months. Simone is a very young puppy that is not house-trained or crate-trained. She will need patience and proper training to accomplish both. Simone's DNA results are in and she is a full standard poodle!

What kind of home would be best for me: Simone is a puppy and we have certain criteria that we feel are important for puppies.  Most puppies need canine companionship to become the best they can be and Simone does.  Her ideal home will have another medium to large breed dog under 10 years old and still capable of playing and interacting happily.  A physically fenced yard is also going to be an important part of Simone's life.  She loves to run and play.

Poodle puppies are always in need of a canine friend, they love to run and play with one another. Poodle puppies are active, agile little babies, they need homes that are ready to tire them out both mentally and physically, so a fenced-in yard will be required. Poodle puppies are very well-rounded dogs, they do not meet strangers and would do well with a nice big family or a single owner! What matters most to a poodle puppy is a happy and excited owner ready to take on loving and training their new puppy! When raised around cats, with proper boundaries, puppies do very well, it is important to note that poodles can have a high prey drive. If you expect your puppy to get alone with your feline buddy, it’s important to start socializing the puppy with the cat as soon as you can! This pup has not had contact with cats that we know of and will not have contact while with their current foster.

What is my personality like:  Simone is a gentle girl, always running and playing.  If she were a human, she would be the B+ student and she would be on the year book staff (but not the editor). She's a goer and a doer but always with a group of friends surrounding her and laughing all day every day.

PUPPY POLICY:

Thank you for carefully considering the addition of a puppy to your family. Puppies can be a joyous experience, but they can also be a tremendous amount of work. Since our goal is to place each of our dogs in forever homes, we are especially cautious with puppies. We like to stress 3 major things when considering a puppy vs. an adult dog: 1) many adult dogs are well bred, well trained dogs who find themselves in rescue through no fault of their own, 2) adult dogs are eager to share their love and bond with their new family, and 3) puppies will always require far more time, energy, and training than an adult dog.

Our ideal puppy adopters are:

-experienced dog owners with a solid record of excellent vet care of their previous pets

-scheduled away from home for no more than 4 hours per day and have another canine companion already in the home

-stay at home type of people (work at home, home schoolers, retired, etc)

How do I act when I first meet new people:  Simone has been raised surrounded by love and affection from many different caregivers. She will be curious and a tiny bit hesitant at first for there is still a lot of world she has to meet but she is ready to meet it if your by her side, guiding and molding her to be the best she can be.

Tips and Tidbits: Simone was born at the poodle farm on 9/21/2023. There were 10 total pups in the litter.  Look for all the Ciri pups online soon.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
