My Story

Date into Rescue: 09/22/24

Reason for being in rescue: Owner release/life changes have brought grandkids significantly more into the picture.  Bruski was happier with his adult only home.  He yearns for that quiet stable type of enivornment again.  Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC

Special Needs: Bruski is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Resource guarding

What kind of home would be best for me: Bruski would love his new adopter to home more than they're away. His ideal adopter is someone who can spend quality time with him, as he loves companionship and attention. Bruski will benefit from leash training and learning basic commands like stay, sit, down and come - he's eager to please!

Whether you live in a cozy apartment or a spacious house, Bruski will fit right in. He is the prefect addition for singles, couples or families alike. His gentle nature makes him great with children of all ages, and he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Bruski would be delighted to romp around with your kids in the backyard or enjoy a playful afternoon with a furry friend. When the fun winds down, you can find him snuggled up next to you, ready for come quality cuddle time.

When you adopt Bruski he will become a treasured member of your household. Bruski is not just a pet; he's a companion who will bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love into your life. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this delightful little guy, Bruski is eagerly waiting to meet you! Don't wait - come and make Bruski a cherished member of your family today!

What is my personality like: Say hello to Bruski, a charming and affectionate white miniature poodle searching for his forever family! This small, fluffy, bundle of joy may be petite in size and a bit shy at first, but his heart is overflowing with love and warmth, ready to share with you.

To us, Bruski is a playful little love bug with an adventurous spirit. He adores toys, especially soft, squeaky stuffed animals, and will happily entertain himself (and you!) with a game of fetch.

There is a history of poor behavior on Bruski's part, especially with small children or strangers.  He's looking for a calm, adult only home where he can relax and be himself.

How do I act when I first meet new people: When Bruski meets new people, he may be a tad shy. However, he warms up quickly and Bruski is eager for attention and affection.

Tips and Tidbits: Bruski was born on 7/13/2019.

Here are some notes form his previous family:

ll keep him.  He loves to go bye bye but has anxiety in car. He loves to hike and be busy. He is a cuddle bug in bed at night under covers but he will sleep at foot of bed too. He does well with one dog but sometimes does try to hump.  He was never socialized until I got him three years ago. He loves to sit in lap with car window down.  It relaxes him.  Someone needs to be home a lot as my husband works from home and he likes that.

Absolutely NO CATS.  He loves to play with squeaky toys and he is on a good food with ground Turkey and carrots.

His abuse as a puppy to 3 yrs of age was horrible.  He was kept in a cage and kids poked and teased him constantly while in cage so they kept him drugged up until the owner released him to a vet in Florida.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
