My Story

Date into Rescue: 2/9/2025

Reason for being in rescue: Owner surrender

Special Needs: Lulu is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.

What kind of home would be best for me: Lulu would thrive in a home with a single adopter, a couple, or a family. Please note that she has never lived as a pet before, but she’s eager to learn and adapt to her new life. Lulu requires at least one confident canine companion in her forever home to help her adjust and provide companionship. Lulu has always lived in a pack of dogs, and as unrealistic as it may be, her ideal forever home would include a group of dogs. We understand this isn’t feasible for most families, so one or more dogs will be just fine!

What is my personality like: Lulu came to us as an owner surrender. Her previous adopter took her in from a breeder who no longer wanted her, but due to having too many poodles, they decided to turn her over to CPR. Lulu is a highly intelligent girl who will need ongoing socialization and guidance as she continues to adjust to her new life.

Lulu is a fun, outgoing, and goofy girl who loves people. She enjoys jumping up to give big hugs and gazing into your eyes as if to say, “Love you! Love me back!” She’s sure to bring joy to your home with her loving and playful personality. Since Lulu does lack some socialization, she would greatly benefit from trips out in public, car rides, leash walks around the neighborhood, etc. As Lulu has not been raised in a home environment, she will need to learn basic commands and receive leash training. The time you spend teaching her will not only benefit Lulu but also deepen the connection between you.

If you’re ready to welcome a sweet, sometimes goofy, and always loving companion into your life, Lulu may be the perfect match for you!

How do I act when I first meet new people: Lulu is a happy, playful girl who enjoys meeting new people and will happily greet you with her affectionate and friendly nature.

Tips and Tidbits: We were told Lulu was 18 months old when surrendered to rescue. We celebrate her birthday 07/09/2023.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
