Biography

Titus was surrendered by his owners. We don't know what Titus's life has been like.  Perhaps it was good, perhaps it wasn't.  He has a history of being a challenging dog, with a bite history and he has now shown us a bit of that but always, when you handle him with kindness he stops.

Titus was not his name where he was before and he was turned in for resource guarding his crate and toys.  That is easy enough to manage, take the toys away and don't worry about them. Dogs don't need toys, they more need attention and direction and love.  Titus is doing well here in his crate and his house training is also going well.  We've been picking him up and lot and playing with him and he seems to enjoy it.  He's a good boy who needs some structure and some understanding.

Titus has shown a decided preference for men.  His foster dad Wayne is his favorite guy and he follows him around.

House training is a challenge.  Titus will need a belly band.  I think in a home where he is the only dog a lot of this will stop.  He does use a pee pad when he's got to really go and he's good at making sure he his the pad.

Titus would do well with an experienced owner, preferably a man, who will allow him to be himself and give him calm direction.

Sponsorship

Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs.  If I have medical challenges I need even more!  If I have medical challenges I need even more! The caregivers at Carolina Poodle Rescue will do the rest.  Just think, without ever having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support!  Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate.
