Lola arrived in rescue in 2016. She had been surrendered by her owners to a SC shelter with bad skin, cataracts, and limited use of her hind legs. It was clear that Lola had not been well cared for in many years. Her luckiest day was the day she landed at a shelter and began a process of physical healing.

Sadly, Lola's rear legs are beyond repair. She has grade 5/6 luxating patellas in both rear legs which make mobility very, very limited. She was evaluated by 2 different vetrenarians, both of whom determined that surgical intervention was not possible for Lola's mobility challenges. Given this, we've made Lola as comfortable as possible.

Lola is a quiet girl. She spends her days snuggled up in a soft bed. She has to be carried outside for potty breaks and eats her food in a bowl in the bed with her. She is great with dogs of all sizes and energy levels as long as they are gentle with her. She is absolutely fine with kids.

Lola is happy in her foster home and can stay int he home forever if she needs to. She'd also love a hospice home that will let her live out her best days in quiet with lots of snuggly beds.

This little lap dog is a real low energy bundle of joy! While she doesn't do a whole lot, she sure does love some snacks and to be loved on. She kinda sleeps the days away, but thats okay because she is awake when she likes to be. She does love the attention but doesn't always need it. She really likes to be held up to your chest to be loved on from time to time as well!

Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs.  If I have medical challenges I need even more! r having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support!  Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate.
