Biography
Romeo was turned into a local shelter by her owners for biting. The previous owner took Romeo in after finding out that he was mistreated which is most likely why this little guy is timid.
Romeo is a wise, old soul who knows what he wants in life and will charm his way into your heart to get his way. Romeo is a direct communicator, and likes to keep everything to himself. He loves soaking up the serenity in his personal, peaceful space rather than seeking out human affection. Romeo is an opinionated guy and will gladly let you know when he's ready to be fed. He adores food, and mealtime never fails to bring him joy! He is the definition of "spoiled rotten" and always gets his food first!
We like to think of Romeo as an "observer" as he spends his free time inspecting others and the world around him. While Romeo may not crave human affection, he still appreciates a quiet respect. A sweet praise, or occasional pet is enough to let him know he's safe and cared for. This spunky boy is a true sweetheart to his core as long as you're willing to respect his boundaries and space. He's a vocal, funny guy who finds happiness in all the simple pleasures life has to offer. He moves at his own pace and enjoys the freedom to explore his surroundings without interference.
Romeo is happy here at the Sanctuary where he can simply be himself with no expectations, only the dignity of living out his golden years in a peaceful environment. He's our constant reminder that love comes in many forms, even from a distance.
Sponsorship
Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs. If I have medical challenges I need even more! r having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support! Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate. Questions? Email: cprsosdogs@carolinapoodlerescue.org
