Biography

Mattie was surrendered to CPR by a breeder who was retiring her. She was under-socialized and lacked exposure to most of everyday life.

Mattie has spent the past 11 months in a foster home working on her socialization. She gained experience riding in a car, going to a groomer, and even practicing walking on a leash. Mattie learned to happily exist with other dogs and adjust to a routine. She even learned to take an occasional treat from her foster mom.

Mattie is back at Dreamweaver Farms continuing to work on her socialization. She is incredibly timid and slow to warm up. Mattie is good with other dogs but cannot be around cats. She enjoys the presence of humans but is timid about being touched. Our sanctuary program allows Mattie time to continue to build confidence.

Mattie is a permanent SOS dog and is not available for adoption. She lives in sanctuary at Dreamweaver Farms.

Sponsorship

Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog!  I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs.  If I have medical challenges I need even more!  The caregivers at Carolina Poodle Rescue will do the rest.  Just think, without ever having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support!  Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate. Questions? Email: cprsosdogs@carolinapoodlerescue.org

I am looking for angels to sponsor me.  I love my sponsors!  GERRY A, MISHELLE B, DENISE H, JENNIFER R
