Biography

Why am I with a rescue group?

Scout Roo Roo is a dog with opinions, and that’s part of his charm. He’s spirited, expressive, and full of character. While he may have a big personality packed into a small body, Scout Roo Roo also has a softer side that loves attention, affection, and quality time with his favorite people.

He needs an experienced adopter who understands dogs with strong personalities and knows how to set clear boundaries while offering kindness and structure. Scout Roo Roo thinks chasing a tennis ball is the perfect daily exercise, and he loves to play. He is best with men and does well with confident handlers who understand his quirks.

Scout Roo Roo is very attached to his things and can become protective of them. Very protective of them. He is not suitable for inexperienced owners, homes with children, or anyone who prefers an easygoing dog. He is, however, a funny, bold, loving little guy who will make you laugh and fill your life with companionship once he bonds with you.

Scout Roo Roo is good with dogs, absolutely not good with cats, and needs a home that respects his boundaries. Underneath his confident exterior is a loyal heart that just wants to feel safe, respected, and adored.

Sponsorship

Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog!  I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs.  If I have medical challenges I need even more!  The caregivers at Carolina Poodle Rescue will do the rest.  Just think, without ever having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support!  Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate.
