Biography

Cisco came to us as a feral dog as part of a hoarding case. When you say yes to these types of cases, you never know what you will get. You commit for life. Cisco is one of those commitments.

Meet is a pocket-sized powerhouse with a BIG attitude and a LOT of heart! His little body and dainty paws might give you the impression of fragility, but make no mistake — Cisco is as tough as they come! He will greet you with a cheeky head tilt and big round eyes that seem to say “I don’t need you — but I might just let you love me”.

Cisco’s personality shines in everything he does, whether it’s strutting past the bigger dogs like he’s royalty, refusing to share the porch with others or giving an exaggerated side-eye to anyone who doesn’t meet his high standards. Despite his small size, he’s an independent little explorer who enjoys sniffing out new lounge spots here at the rescue. Cisco doesn’t mind other dogs, but he can be known for being a little bit shy towards human affection at the farm. He is rather cautious but not scared of strangers.

Cisco loves nothing more than a quiet, sunny nap on the porch and the only thing that could possibly ruin his snoozes is for a canine friend to disturb him. Cisco’s friend group is small, and he likes it that way. He marches to the beat of his own drum and is an easy going little guy as long as you respect his boundaries and allow him to be the independent, feisty Chihuahua we all know he’s determined to be!

Sponsorship

Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog!  I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs.  If I have medical challenges I need even more!  The caregivers at Carolina Poodle Rescue will do the rest.  Just think, without ever having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support!  Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate.
