My Story

Date into Rescue: 6/25/2022

Reason for being in rescue: Ingrid was found as a stray

Special Needs: Ingrid is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. Ingrid was found as a stray so her actual heritage is unknown.  We think she may be a great pyreenees and standard poodle mix but this is just a guess. She has the body type of a larger dog but she does not have the double dew claws as many great pyr's do.  We can't tell you she is hypoallergenic although she appears to shed very little.  If you have allergies, I would suggest you look at standard poodles instead of doodles.

What kind of home would be best for me: Ingrid is a wonderful doodle girl looking for an active home. She loves hard and fast and full of energy. Ingrid is no couch potato - she needs an active lifestyle that includes plenty of physical and mental stimulation. She is good with dogs of all sizes and cats. Ingrid would love another large dog for play. We don't know if Ingrid has ever lived with children. She would enjoy a home with some land as she loves to run, jump, hop, and play for hours not wanting to return inside.

What is my personality like: Found as a stray, this lovable girl had to have been someone’s pet at one point in her life. She is both beauty and brains, she is very food motivated and knows to sit to get what she wants. She gets super excited to go for walks (she knows what the word and leash means). She also gets super excited when she thinks she is about to go for a car ride. She does pull on a leash just because she is so excited! She will only potty on grass!

A fenced yard is needed, as Ingrid loves to run around and play. She has the cutest bunny hopping zoomies.  Ingrid is so loving, sweet, and goofy all mixed into one. She can nosey, curious, cuddly, and a dash mischevious. She has soulful eyes that show you all her emotions, and can lead nose to the ground to find her next snack, I swear she was a hound in another life!!

Overall Ingrid’s a great dog, very well rounded.  She’s quiet, not much of a barker at all. Loves her crate and goes in willingly, and always clean in it. Good with small and large dogs and cats. This girl loves hard and it’s such an honor to be loved by her, that is the feeling she gives to the people she meets.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly

Tips and Tidbits: Ingrid was found as a stray so we have no history on her. She is estimated at 3 years old. We celebrate her birthday as 6/25/2019.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
