Biography
Why am I with a rescue group? Chance was turned into a NC shelter, no reason given. He was adopted quickly for he was at that time young, cute and on his best behavior. Sadly, his adopter found out very quickly that life in suburbia was too stressful for Chance. He began going after other dogs while on walks and the other dogs in his home. They brought him back and after quite a few temperament tests, we've found a group he can be happy with but we think he is best kept here, where there is routine and structure and he is safe.
Chance is now a sweet and kind old man, most of the time, but like most old men, sometimes he gets a little feisty. In these moments Chance requires space and some time alone. Chance does not like to be pushed too far, and he will let you know if you have pushed him too much.
Chance can sometimes give you crazy eyes if you try to leash or remove a leash from him. When choosing dog friends it really just depends on how he is feeling that day. Chance also has never been a fan of dogs passing by his crate. It upsets him that they are loud and disrupting his pace. He will bark and snarl at them.
Chance also has a habit of ripping up blankets or sheets that you put down for him. Sometimes he will lay with them for days, and then randomly rip them up. His space is his space and that is how he wants it to remain, regardless of what you think. Chance craves and loves his own individuality and you have to know how to work with him and around him to get it right.
Sponsorship
Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard to place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs. If I have medical challenges I need even more! The caregivers at Carolina Poodle Rescue will do the rest. Just think, without ever having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support! Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate. Questions? Email: cprsosdogs@carolinapoodlerescue.org
I LOVE MY Virtual Adopters! Chance is looking for his virtual family.
