My Story
Reason for being in rescue: Retired by breeder
Special Needs: Pixie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 08/20/25 Pixie had a dental polishing.
What kind of home would be best for me: Pixie will do best in a home that’s calm, consistent, and low on chaos. Loud environments, constant changes, or busy households wouldn’t be her cup of tea, for this reason children are not recommended in her new home. What she truly craves is stability, patience, and understanding — a peaceful space where she can continue to grow into the loving, confident companion she’s meant to be.
Pixie is selective about her canine company, and she knows exactly what she likes. She would be happiest in a home with a respectful male dog who’s happy to let her take the lead. She’s not interested in pushy females or energetic puppies — she prefers the quiet confidence of a gentleman dog who values personal space as much as she does. Pixie enjoys occasional play, usually with her favorite male friends, and she finds comfort in having a steady canine companion who helps her feel secure without overwhelming her.

What is my personality like: Pixie is a lovely Toy Poodle with the heart of a sophisticated lady and the poise to match. Life hasn’t always been easy for her — as a former breeder release, she’s still learning what it means to live as a beloved companion — but this little girl is blossoming more each day. With patience, kindness, and a calm routine, Pixie is discovering that people can be gentle, fun, and full of good things.
Pixie is a wonderful little shadow, always curious about what you’re up to and eager to quietly follow along. Pixie loves to observe the world around her, taking in all the new sights and sounds at her own pace. She’s still learning how to fully trust people, but she’s making beautiful progress and beginning to enjoy affection and gentle attention.
Pixie is not afraid to stand up for herself when she feels pushed or bombarded — she has her boundaries and makes them known politely but clearly. Pixie may be small, but her spirit is mighty, and her loyalty runs deep once she trusts you. If you’re looking for a gentle, graceful little dog who will quietly fill your home with warmth, Pixie is ready to take the next step in her journey — at her own, perfectly Pixie pace.
How do I act when I first meet new people: Pixie is not a dog that will run up to meet you. She's a quiet observer, taking in the world before jumping in.
Tips and Tidbits: Pixie's birthday is 12/13/2020
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Potential Adopters
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
