My Story
Reason for being in rescue: Breeder release
Special Needs: Valkyrie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 10/01/2025 she had a dental with 6 extractions.
What kind of home would be best for me: Valkyrie is looking for a peaceful, patient home where she can truly exhale. She isn’t a dog who will thrive in the hustle and bustle of a busy household, so homes with young children, loud gatherings, or frequent activity wouldn’t be the best match. What she needs most is time, space, and understanding — a calm environment that allows her to blossom in her own way.
One thing that is absolutely essential for Valkyrie is another confident, friendly dog in the home. She gains reassurance and courage from canine companionship and learns by watching her dog friends. A calm, steady role model who can show her that the world isn’t so scary — that loud noises, new people, and changes can all “roll off like water” — will help her continue to grow and thrive.

What is my personality like: Valkyrie is a beautiful Toy Poodle whose eyes tell a story of cautious resilience. As a recent breeder release, many things in the big, wide world are still new to her — but she’s taking it all in at her own pace. She’s not shutting down or retreating; rather, she’s carefully observing, slowly building trust, and learning that life as a loved companion can be safe, kind, and full of joy.
Once Valkyrie feels safe and connected to her person, everything changes. The shy, cautious little poodle melts away, and what emerges is a deeply loving, loyal companion. She adores affection and will happily curl up in your arms, soaking up every bit of comfort and warmth she can. Her bond runs deep, and the trust she gives feels truly special — the kind that’s earned slowly and cherished forever.
Valkyrie is ready to start her new chapter with someone who sees her for who she is — a gentle soul with so much love to give, waiting for the right person (and canine friend) to help her continue her journey. If you have the patience to let her set the pace, you’ll be rewarded with one of the most heartfelt connections imaginable.
How do I act when I first meet new people: Valkyrie is shy. We jokingly call her the queen of side eye when she first sees you. There is a lover at heart under it all!
Tips and Tidbits: Valkyrie's birthday is 03/23/2021
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Potential Adopters
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
