My Story

Date into Rescue: 09/21/2025

Reason for being in rescue: Draco was found as a stray and landed at a TN shelter. His owners were found, but did not want him.

Special Needs: Draco is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. We have no history on Draco before arriving in rescue. Our best estimate is that he is a standard poodle, but we cannot guarantee his DNA. We will not guarantee that he is hypoallergenic or that he won't shed.

What kind of home would be best for me: This sweet and trusting boy is versatile—he would do well in nearly any home environment. With kids or without, as an only dog or with another canine companion, Draco will adapt and thrive as long as he’s surrounded by love.

What is my personality like: Meet Draco, a handsome standard poodle mix with a heart of pure gold. Draco is the kind of dog who has never met a stranger—his warm and loving nature makes everyone he meets feel like an instant best friend. From the moment you’re introduced, he’ll happily stick by your side, following you from room to room, or quietly watching from afar if he can’t be right at your hip.

Draco is truly a people dog. While he enjoys the company of other dogs and does wonderfully with them, it’s clear that you will always be his one and only. His loyalty and devotion shine in everything he does, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a true best friend.

Draco already has some great skills under his belt—he walks nicely on a leash, knows how to sit, and is eager to learn even more. His eagerness to please paired with his affectionate personality makes him not only a wonderful pet but also an easy and rewarding dog to train.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and endlessly sweet companion who will fill your days with devotion and joy, Draco may be the perfect fit for your family.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Draco loves people. Everyone is a new best friend.

Tips and Tidbits: The shelter estimated Draco at 3 years old. We have no history or paperwork on his life pre-rescue. We celebrate his birthday 09/21/2022.

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
