Meet Romeo - a small, resilient sweetheart stepping into the best chapter of his life. Rescued on 2/15/26 after years as a backyard breeder’s stud dog, Romeo arrived injured and neglected, but he’s now healed and full of quiet joy.

Must have: Due to missing many teeth, he needs a good brushing protocol for his remaining ones
Exercise: Physical condition other than loss of one eye & most of his teeth is very good
Best with: Romeo moves through life with confidence and curiosity. A calm, patient home will help him continue building that confidence
Not ideal for: High energy environments
Energy level: Romeo is small and still learning about the big wide world, a home without rough play or chaotic energy would suit him well
This 7 lb one eyed wonder doesn’t see himself as limited - he’s simply ready to be loved. Romeo is sweet, happy, and quietly eager. He doesn’t know much about the world yet - and it shows in the most endearing way. Underneath that inexperience is a gentle, joyful little dog who truly wants to go out, see things, and do things. There’s a spark there.
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with kids: We doubt Romeo has been around them. With gentle hands, he will find comfort.
Cats: He hasn't been tested, but can be if you have one
Fun fact: Romeo is a little wiggly on the grooming table, which makes perfect sense considering it had likely been years since he was properly groomed before coming into rescue. With consistency and positive experiences, that will absolutely improve.
