Angus is a young standard poodle who’s gentle, sensitive, and still learning that the world is safe. He’s affectionate once he warms up and loves people and dogs, but he’s shy and needs time to build confidence.
Must have: Another dog to mentor him, A calm, patient home with someone who understands shy dogs and can help him continue learning trust.
Exercise: Moderate — short walks and relaxed playtime in a fenced yard.
Best with: A quiet household, ideally with an experienced adopter and another gentle dog to help him settle.
Not ideal for: Loud or busy homes, or families with very young children.
Energy level: Medium — balanced between playful and laidback.
Angus is crate trained, working on house training, and learning leash manners. He’s gentle, affectionate, and sweet — the kind of dog who will thrive with love, patience, and routine.
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with kids: Older, dogsavvy kids (12+) recommended.
Cats: Unknown — can be tested.
Fun fact: Angus may take a minute to warm up, but once he trusts you, he’ll be your quiet shadow and constant friend.
