Halo is a very shy, skittish Miniature Poodle mix who came to CPR as a stray from Durham County, NC. She is gentle and quiet, but nervous around people. She will run away from human interaction and may try to escape if frightened or pressured.
Halo will need a long decompression period and an adopter experienced with fearful dogs.
Must have: A secure fenced yard, A calm, quiet home, another confident dog to mentor her, an adopter experienced with shy or feralleaning dogs
Exercise: Low — quiet yard time and gentle routine.
Best with: Adults and a calm resident dog.
Not ideal for: Homes with children, loud environments, or no other dog.
Energy level: Low — quiet companionship.
Halo is healthy, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. She is house trained, learning leash skills, and does well with small dogs and cats. She is a Velcro dog once she trusts you, but trust takes time.
