Sophie was one of many dogs seized from a hoarder in Abbeville, SC.  Many of the dogs were terrified and under socialized with humans and have taken a long time to warm up to our caregivers. Sophie has to yet come around and be fully comfortable with human touch. 

Sophie is an active girl that loves to go outside and play with her many friends. Sophie is a very fearful dog and almost feral dog. Sophie is crate trained and runs right into her crate, which is great getting her to vet visits and where she needs to go.  She really needs help learning she can trust humans.. and with many, many dogs here there isn't enough time to sit with this sweet girl and get her used to the human touch. 

Sophie is terrified of new people and runs from them. For now, Sophie is in permanent sanctuary. After 4 years in rescue she is still completely feral. She will sneak up behind long term caregivers and get close to them, but that is as good as it gets. We hate what young life was for Sophie and how it has shaped her future. But we are thankful for a sanctuary and loving community that makes a home for Sophie.
