Carolina Poodle Rescue
You’re Approved To Adopt!
We can’t wait to meet you! When you pull in the gate, there is an office trailer to your right. This is our adoption center. One of our staff members will almost always come out to greet you but if we’re tied up, please come on over to the adoption center.
Preparing To Visit Dreamweaver Farms
Important information as you prepare for your meet & greet with adoptable dogs
Important Items To Bring
When you arrive, there is a security coded gate. There is a key pad on your left as you pull into our driveway (outside the gate).
The code is 1492#. Please do not forget the “#” it is part of the code.
When you arrive at our poodle farm, we roll out the red carpet for you. Dogs will be brought to meet you in our adoption center, a part office / part living room set up that allows you to see dogs as they will be acting in your home. You can take your potential matches for walks around our farm or stay indoors, whichever works best for all of you.
- Please wear old clothes! Rain, snow or shine our dogs romp and play proudly, and will likely not let you leave here without a few paw prints!
- Please bring a 4’ or 6’ flat leash. Do not bring an extend-a-lead. Extension leashes create many problems especially with a dog that may be scared.
- If you are adopting a small dog and you are coming to your meet and greet alone, please bring a crate for the ride home. The best size crate for a small dog is one that is at least 15” high and at least 24” long. If a friend or family member is coming with you, the crate is not essential but is always a good idea.
- Please feel free to bring treats! Some favorites around here are the soft treats like Pupperoni or any liver treat.
- We take checks or cash, or all major credit and debit cards for payment of adoption fees. If you prefer to pay by credit or debit card for your convenience (and those all important points), we ask you consider also letting us add the credit card processing fee to the charges. Thank you in advance for considering that.
- We are going to ask permission to take your picture with your new dog and hope your willing. It’s a lot of fun for our supporters to see their dogs find new homes..
Review Our Adoption Contract In Advance
Please review the adoption contract – you will be asked to sign this. We take canine lives seriously. You do not need to print it out or bring it with you. It is for your review to make sure you can agree with our legal requirements for care of your new dog and, if ever needed, return of your dog to CPR Please note that you can pay your adoption fee via cash, check or credit card. If you use a credit card, the credit card processing fee will be charged to you.
