My Story

Date into Rescue: 09/08/2025

Reason for being in rescue: Breeder surrender

Special Needs: Tango is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 09/12/25 she had a dental with 6 extractions.

What kind of home would be best for me: Tango has never known life as a companion. She is accustomed to dogs (lots of them) and routine. You will teach her what being a pet means. The good news - Tango is a happy dog that is eager to learn. Her forever home is with a family that can offer her consistency and routine. A family that understands she has never lived in a home and is not house trained but is trying. A family that either has another dog or has a plan for socialization 3-4 times per week is non-negotiable. Tango has never known life without canine companions. A family with an abundance of patience to go the distance with this special girl. Ideally, a family that has rescued before. Tango thinks cats are confusing and will growl at them. She needs a home with no cats, please.

What is my personality like: Meet Tango, a beautiful silver toy poodle who shines brighter now that she can finally see the world around her. When Tango first came into rescue, the transition was especially hard—her vision was blocked from needing a groom, and the world felt overwhelming. But once her face was clean and clear, everything changed. Tango’s spirit lifted, and she blossomed into a happier, more eager girl, ready to greet people with curiosity and hope.

Tango is incredibly sweet and kind, though she does need time to warm up to new people. Right now, she prefers gentle pets and soft words over being picked up, and she’ll let you know when she feels safe enough for more. As a breeder release, she is learning the basics of house manners, leash walking, and what it means to be truly loved.

Tango will thrive in a home with another confident dog to guide her, show her the ropes, and be her companion. With patience, understanding, and love, Tango will continue to discover that the big, open world is not so scary after all—it’s full of kindness, safety, and joy.

How do I act when I first meet new people: Tango takes a few minutes to warm up to new people. This is all new to her and she's learning. She is a very sweet and gentle girl.

Tips and Tidbits: Tango's birthday is 5/23/2019

House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to /follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.

Potential Adopters

Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.

Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
