My Story
Reason for being in rescue: Breeder surrender
Special Needs: Darcy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 09/12/25 she had a dental with 3 extractions.
What kind of home would be best for me: Darcy has never known life as a companion. She is accustomed to dogs (lots of them) and routine. You will teach her what being a pet means. The good news - Darcy is a happy dog that is eager to learn. Her forever home is with a family that can offer her consistency and routine. A family that understands she has never lived in a home and is not house trained but is trying. A family that either has another dog, or has a plan for socialization 4-5 times EVERY WEEK with other dogs. Darcy has never known life without canine companions. A family with an abundance of patience to go the distance with this special girl. Ideally, a family that has rescued before.

What is my personality like: Meet Darcy, a joyful little toy poodle with a heart as big as her spirit! This friendly girl is absolutely overjoyed at the thought of being someone’s cherished companion. She’s wonderful with other dogs and would happily tag along as your new purse pup, soaking in every moment at your side. Curious and open to everything new and exciting, Darcy embraces life as one big adventure—nothing slows down her spirited heart.
Darcy would thrive as an only dog, soaking up all the love for herself, but because she’s only ever known life surrounded by other dogs, she will still need playdates or canine friends in her world. As a breeder release, she is now beginning her journey of learning what it means to be a truly loved pet. House manners and leash training will take patience and guidance, but her eager and happy nature makes her a wonderful student.
Darcy’s adaptable personality makes her a great fit for nearly any home environment. Whether she’s curled up in your arms, trotting beside you on an outing, or making new friends, Darcy is ready to fill your life with joy, companionship, and endless love.
How do I act when I first meet new people: Darcy is a happy, active girl who is ready to meet you!
Tips and Tidbits: Darcy's birthday is 12/14/2016
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to /follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Potential Adopters
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
