My Story
Reason for being in rescue: breeder release
Special Needs: Tatum is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 10/10/25 Tatum had a dental with 4 extractions.
What kind of home would be best for me: Tatum would do wonderfully as a best friend to your current dog or would be perfectly content as your one and only, so long as she gets to be close to her person. Tatum is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and forms strong attachments. Once she’s connected with you, you’ll have a loyal little shadow who will greet you with a happy tail wag, soft eyes, and a heart full of love.
Tatum will thrive in a quiet, loving home where she can feel safe and be close to her people. She doesn’t need much—just someone who will meet her with kindness, give her time to settle in, and offer the love she’s waited so long to receive.

What is my personality like: Tatum is a sweet and gentle Yorkshire Terrier who wants nothing more than to be your number one companion. Whether you're curled up on the couch, working at your desk, or taking a stroll in the yard, Tatum is happiest when she’s by your side—or even better, in your lap.
Tatum’s history as a mama dog shines through in her gentle, nurturing nature. She’s incredibly patient and adaptable, often going with the flow in new environments or around new dogs. Yet she also carries a quiet confidence—she may be small, but she’s not timid. Tatum has a calm, assured energy that makes her both a comforting presence and a quiet little leader.
After just a bit of time with you, Tatum will start to open up and show her affectionate side. She’ll gently jump up for attention and lightly paw at you, asking for more love in the sweetest way. She’s a joyful girl who doesn’t ask for much—just a lap to cuddle in, a human to adore, and a soft place to rest her little head.
As a recent breeder release, many everyday experiences—like leash walking, house training, and household routines—are still new to her. Tatum will need time, patience, and understanding as she learns these things for the first time. But don’t let that deter you—she is a smart girl who is eager to please and quick to pick up new skills when given gentle, positive guidance.
If you’re looking for a sweet, steady, and loving little companion to share your life (and your lap), Tatum might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to start her new chapter—could it be with you:
How do I act when I first meet new people: Tatum may seem shy at first but give her a few moments of calm and she'll approach you for pets. Within a few minutes she'll be asking to sit in your lap.
Tips and Tidbits: Tatum is estimated at 6 years old. We celebrate her birthday 10/5/19.
House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
Potential Adopters
Please note - we do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting a dog, take a look at the distance between the dog's location and your location and make sure you are able to make the trip.
Thank you for your interest in a dog who needs a new home. This description contains all that we currently know about this dog. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. When screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, age, temperament, personality, etc. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
