Hershey is a little Maltese with a big heart who’s just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be. After starting his journey in a breeding facility, everything is still a bit new - but give him a few minutes to warm up, and you’ll see the magic.

Must have: Another small, confident dog in the home
Exercise: Medium to high - once he feels comfortable Hershey is a happy, playful, active boy
Best with: Dogs, patient humans, and slow introductions
Not ideal for: An inexperienced dog owner
Energy level: Medium
Once he feels safe, Hershey transforms into a happy, goofy, playful pup who’s ready to soak up love and share some smiles. He absolutely needs another dog in his home - he takes so much comfort in their presence and truly lights up around his canine friends. Hershey can be a little nervous and submissive at first, but underneath it all is the sweetest boy just waiting for someone patient and kind to help him keep blossoming.
Good with dogs: Yes, she needs them!
Good with kids: Maybe - if they are older and give him time and space to warm up. Hershey has never lived with kids.
Cats: Unknown - Hershey has never lived with kids. If you have cats, let us know and we'll test him.
Fun fact: Once he is comfortable, Hershey is our resident goofball!
