PLEASE ASK FOR JOE'S FULL STORY!! Joe is a lowenergy, very shy Terrier mix who is still learning that people can be kind. He came from a hoarding situation and is slowly decompressing. He needs a quiet, patient home that understands nervous rescue dogs and can give him the time he needs to feel safe.

Must have: fenced yard, quiet home, someone home often, experienced adopter, confident dog in the home
Exercise: Medium - but only plays with dogs right now. gentle yard time, short decompression walks
Best with: adults only, calm households, homes familiar with fearful dogs
Not ideal for: apartments, townhomes, busy homes, homes without another dog
Energy level: Medium - but only plays with dogs right now.
Joe is very shy and sensitive. He is working on house and crate training and needs slow, gentle introductions to new people. He gains confidence from other dogs and absolutely must have a calm, confident dog in the home to help guide him.
Good with dogs: yes — must have a confident mentor dog
Good with kids: not recommended in Joe's home.
Cats: unknown
Fun fact: Joe is still shut down, but every tiny step forward — taking a treat, approaching slowly, watching you with curiosity — is a huge victory for him. With time and patience, he will blossom.
