Rose is a loving, affectionate doodle mix who wants nothing more than to be someone's constant companion. She is friendly with people, enjoys being close to her humans, and has earned a reputation for thinking she's a lap dog despite her size.

Must have: A home that can provide companionship and understanding when left alone. Someone home much of the time would be ideal.  

Exercise: Moderate exercise through daily walks, playtime, and family activities. Rose may become more active as she settles into her environment.  

Best with: Families, adults, and adopters looking for a devoted companion. Rose has done well with everyone and everything she's met.

Not ideal for: Homes where she will be crated and left alone for long periods.  Rose has been abandoned once. She does not want to go through that again.  

Energy level: Moderate. Rose enjoys spending time with people and may show more energy as she becomes comfortable in her surroundings.  

Rose's favorite place is right beside her people. While she was surrendered by her owners to a SC shelter, we don't have any real history. Her breed mix is a mystery - but you could do a DNA test if you want. What we know is that we can't guarantee she's hypoallergenic or that she won't shed. If you have allergies, she's not your girl

Good with dogs: Yes. Does very well with large dogs.  With small dogs we are in attendance and she is a good girl with them.  

Good with kids: We do not have kids here to test Rose with but she is so happy go lucky the general consensus is she will do well with kids who have been taught to be kind and respectful to dogs. 

Cats: Rose hasn't been tested by cats. If you have them, let us know and we'll test her.

Fun fact: Rose is convinced she's a lap dog and loves sitting as close to her people as possible, no matter her size.
