Biography
Chase was allowed to roam free by his former owner and was picked up numerous times by animal control and returned to the owner. Finally, he got picked up one last time and they turned Chase over to a shelter before us taking ownership of him. Chase was rescued with a collapsed let eye lobe and was in terrible pain. To ease Chase's pain his left eye was removed on 7/13/22. In the nearly two years Chase has been with us we've not seen it slow him down. He has adapted quite well and is living life as best as he can.
Chase tends to act like a curmudgeonly old man. He has his likes and dislikes and makes them known. Chase likes to live life on his own terms. He's picky about who he allows in his life be it people or dogs. Chase's favorite things to do are to lie in the sun and hang out with the people he likes and soak up the love. Chase either likes you or he doesn't. He can be moody and swing from loving to snappy for reasons only he knows. He doesn't like the rain and hates going out in it. His strong likes and dislikes, and the times he gets snappy are probably the reasons Chase will be here long term. However, we will never stop searching for a forever home for him. As we continue searching, Chase's virtual donors allow him to enjoy, a safe place to sleep, caregivers who love him, nutritious meals, and treatment of any healthcare concerns that may arise.
Sponsorship
Can’t have a dog of your own? Have a soft spot for old, sick or hard-to-place dogs? It only takes a $20 a month donation for me to be your virtual dog! I need at least 10 virtual adopters (sponsors) to help cover my monthly costs. If I have medical challenges I need even more! The caregivers at Carolina Poodle Rescue will do the rest. Just think, without ever having to leave your home, you can have your very own online dog that will send you update emails, make Facebook posts, and be eternally grateful for your support! Go to the donate link at the top of the page for instructions as to how to donate. Questions? Email: cprsosdogs@carolinapoodlerescue.org
